Vannevar Bush (* 11. marec 1890 – † 30. jún 1974) bol americký vedec, štátny úradník, vizionár a profesor elektrického inžinierstva.

V roku 1945 v článku As We May Think publikovanom v časopise The Athlantic Monthly navrhol projekt zariadenia Memex, fungujúceho na princípe hypertextu. V roku 1945 ako riaditeľ Office of Scientific Research and Development publikoval správu nazvanú Science The Endless Frontier. A Report to the President (Veda nekonečná hranica - Správa pre prezidenta). Vykonával funkcie viceprezidenta Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), prezidenta Carnegie Institution vo Washingtone DC v USA. Pôsobil ako vedúci National Defense Research Committee.
