• 28 juin : Blizzard Entertainment annonce Diablo III lors du Worldwide Invitational à Paris.

• 31 janvier : sortie de Super Smash Bros. Brawl sur Wii au Japon. Le jeu est sorti en Amérique du Nord le 9 mars et en Europe le 27 juin. Le 31 mars, il s'en était vendu 4,85 millions dans le monde^[1].
• 29 avril : sortie de Grand Theft Auto IV sur PlayStation 3 et Xbox 360. 6 millions d'exemplaires sont vendus dans le monde la première semaine, et 8,5 millions le premier mois^[2].
